Manchester, NH - Kitchen

A Deep Rich Kitchen

This dated kitchen, with a separate eat-in area, was completely gutted and modernized to meet this couples desire for a comfortable kitchen that also matched their personalities. The deep rich burgundy-toned cherry cabinets are balanced with vanilla-ivory floor to ceiling cabinetry creating a balanced two-toned kitchen. The sink was moved from the typical in-front-of-the-window location to the corner, with the range top location mirrored in the other corner of the kitchen. A designated coffee station was created between the wall ovens and refrigerator, while the central island acts as an efficient drop zone for meal preparation.

Wanting to introduce a more modern layout into the kitchen, the eat in table was exchanged for a custom built-in eating area that connected directly to the peninsula of cabinetry. The gorgeous Alpine White counters extend around the entire kitchen and are complimented by the Athens Gray marble backsplash with metal and glass decorative insert at the range top.

Custom drapery adds softness to the lines of the cabinets, but also adds vibrant colors which evokes a sense of the client's personalities. The touch of whimsy keeps the kitchen and eat-in area comfortable, but does not impede the overall function of the space.
